Reverse Mullet
Is it me, or is everything being embellished with leather this fall? Sweatshirts, leggings, hats, blazers. I've seen it paired with tweed, tulle, animal print and denim, just to name a few. And is it wrong that I want to own all of it?
This vegan leather top from French Connection was one of the items I picked up last month with my GILT certificate and I love love love it! It's a conservative sweater in the back and a leather party in the front! It's like a reverse mullet in sweater form.
Since that wasn't enough craziness, I paired the reverse mullet sweater with these subtly animal-printed jeans from C Wonder. They are technically called "foiled" denim, but they totally aren't foily or shiny at all. Which is good, because they would be way too much going on in my outfit then.
And was I the only one taken with the Rebecca Minkoff woven clutch this fall? That one was over $300. This beauty from French Connection was only $68! Deal. Love it.

Vicki - I love the animal printed jeans - they look great on you.
ReplyDeleteI have only just started to wear pants after being a skirts/dresses girl and only have a pair of dress pants so far. When I take the plunge to wear tighter jeans, I would love some like yours.
Thanks Rebecca! It took me a while to take the plunge into the skinny printed jeans! Now I'm hooked on all sorts of crazy pants!
DeleteLove this look. The leather sweatshirt would be a great way for me to wear leather. I have no use for a leather skirt and couldn't wear it to work, but this sweatshirt would be great for weekends. Love the jeans too.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I'd like a leather skirt too, but where would I wear it is right!
DeleteNice sweater! I must pick some leather garment this season, you've opened my eyes :)
