I'm off to my first day at my new job today! I really have no idea what to expect once I arrive, other than filling out my I-9. Everything about my new job is different from my old one. The size and format of the company, location, dress code. Since I did a lot of lab work at my last job, I used to head to work in jeans and flats. You can tell from my current dress, that I won't be in the lab today!
I'm new to this whole business casual dress code, it will take a while before I find my personal work style. How do you dress at your job? Is your workplace a suit and heels kind of place, or are you rocking your favorite jeans every day? I need some inspiration!
Baby it's cold outside!

What a polished outfit, Vicki! Love that skirt. The dress-code at my work place is business casuals and I love jazzing up my outfits with scarves and necklaces. BTW, how was the first day at work?
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! It's such a different dress code than my unemployed look! :) First day was fun, interesting!

Hope your first day at your new job went well! Your outfit is lovely! :)
ReplyDeleteMy office is business causal too, but very casual so on any day you will find people wearing jeans. I try to keep them just for casual Friday :)

I like how professional and polished you look! I don't have to dress up at work, so that's a plus for me. You look lovely. And by the way, I like your blog.

Fabulous look! Professional yet the opposite of a boring work "skirt and blouse" attire.
ReplyDeleteI really love every single piece from head to toe!
At the office I wear a lot of dresses, skirts as well and now while we have snow, often trousers, usually with a silky top and a blazer.
Good luck in your new job!
