I'm back to New Jersey after a wonderful Christmas visit to my parents house in Buffalo, NY. The weather upstate was all over the place this past weekend. My plane landed in dense fog. A steady rain melted all of the snow, flooded everything and then froze overnight, creating the winter wonderland you see in these images. Luckily the waters receded, the temperatures dropped and snow fell just in time for a white Christmas.
I wore this outfit for a day shopping with my dad. He took a look at me and asked "Are you going shopping like that?" I countered him with the same question. He looked at his flannel and jeans and answered yes. Off shopping we went.
I have also discovered that dog fur doesn't stick to neoprene. It's the only fabric I'm wearing on my next visit home.
Jacket: Kenneth Cole (from last year)
Scarf: Calvin Klein via Macy's
Sweater: French Connection
Blouse: Banana Republic
Skirt: Ark & Co. via Stitch Fix
Booties: Joie
I love that jacket! It looks like it's cold up there! It's in the 50's in my neck of the woods. Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteI love every bit of this look! So classy! And that conversation sounds like the one I have every time my dad sees me "dressed up" and he's just in flannel haha - although I do love a good flannel too!

That coat is stunning, especially juxtaposed with the frozen snowy & white background. What a great set of photos. And LOL at your conversation with your dad. That was the perfect response!

Great Look! I love that you rolled the cuffs so there's a bit of plaid and I love THE SIDE ZIPPER ON THAT COAT! Can't imagine what you'd do with it, but it is an amazing details. And I'm so proud that you took the crazy ice storm as an opportunity to take these beautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteThe little peek of plaid with the print sweater is genius...and I'm loving the burgundy coat! At my house I consider dog hair to be an additional accessory...ha!

Something About That
What a beautiful backdrop! It looks so magical. We've missed out on a white Christmas here in the UK but have had flooding and now crisp gorgeous sunny days instead. I absolutely love this outfit from top to toe, and it's really rare that I do! That sweater with the turn up cuffs below is just fab. Nailed it! Have a great rest of the season.
