Happy February 14th

Two things today.  Since it's February 14th, I thought I would celebrate the Boyfriend a little.  The boyfriend and I are celebrating our 11th Valentines day together!  He's an amazing guy in too many ways to express in one blog post.  I thought I would share today one of the more fun reasons why he's awesome.

He shops for me!

Seriously. His office is right near the Bergen county outlets and he stops there occasionally on his way home.  He'll find some amazing pieces, on serious markdown, usually in my size and bring them home for me!  It's like having a personal shopper that doesn't want commission.  He brought home this Max Mara sweater for me earlier this month and it was only 15% of the original price!  It's so warm and fluffy, I love it.  He's such a good shopper.

Second thing for today?  Did you notice that I'm standing on top of the snow?  This is the result of last weeks snowstorms.  One foot of snow, coated with 1/2-inch of ice.  I haven't seen something like this since I was twelve years old and living in Buffalo, NY.  It's hilarious and sad, all at the same time.

Outlet Finds Week - Day 5

I spied two girls trying this jacket on at the Niagara Falls, NY Saks Off 5th outlet.  They both agreed that it was fabulous, but said they would have no where to wear it.  They put it back on the rack and the boyfriend and I sidled over and picked it up.  After putting it on, I proclaimed that I would be wearing this jacket everywhere.  Do you need an event to wear such an amazing coat?  The event that I will be wearing this coat to is Fall.

Outlet Finds Week - Day 4

I've been waiting all summer to wear this blazer.  The boyfriend actually found it for me at the Bloomingdale's outlet.  Every so often the store has a sale with 65% off clearance and you can pick up some pretty great designer duds there.  This purple, puffy, Armani blazer should take me all the way to spring.

Outlet Finds Week - Day 3

Every so often I get in a kick of buying workout clothes.  Lots and lots of them.  Most of my workout gear comes from outlets because why pay $50 for something you're going to sweat in?  TJ Maxx, Marshalls & Century 21 are my go to places for active wear.  Everything in this look was less than $20!  (except the running shoes, I get my Brooks at Fleet Feet)

There is a Lululemon outlet at the Woodbury Commons Outlet Mall.  Thankfully it's a long drive from my apartment, or I'd be there every weekend!

Outlet Finds Week - Day 2

I closed my apartment door and it was just cloudy out.  I stepped outside my apartment building and it was an all out downpour!  Luckily I had plans to style a run "rainy day" shot and had my umbrella.  I tucked my camera under an overhang and stepped out into the rain!

Welcome to day two of my outlet finds week!  All of these pieces were bought on major sale, except the wellies.  I can never find a sale on Hunter boots when I need one!

The umbrella came as a result of an ill-planned trip out in NYC.  I ran into TJMaxx after the skies opened up!  It's better to spend $10 on a good umbrella and $5 to the guys on the street selling black umbrellas.  Those can be considered one use umbrellas.  You might as well just give me five dollars.
