Holiday Gift Guide - Shop Local on Etsy

Happy Black Friday! Have you been up since before the sun shopping? Or are you like me and you're relaxing away from the crowds?  Rather than post another list of the "big sales" happening today, I thought I would take a cue from one of the newest trends for the holiday shopping season - Shop Local Saturday!

Be sure to check out Etsy for some of your holiday gift giving needs.  There are some amazing artisans and craftspeople selling their wares at Etsy. Support the little guy this year! Also, take some time this weekend to visit some of your local shops and restaurants!

A Neon Winter

I was asked recently about my hair.  Is it straight (like in this post) or curly (like it is here)?  Well, it's somewhere in between.  When left to its own devices, this is what my hair does.  It waves.  Except for the front pieces, they just kind of lay there. It has to be coaxed in either the straight or curly direction. Recently I've been lazy and letting it do its own thing. Though I like to pretend I'm being good to it and giving my hair a heat break.

Nothing brightens a cold day like a pop of neon. I picked up this cashmere sweater last year during Saks end of season cashmere sale and it is one of my favorite sweaters in my closet. The pink is just as vibrant in real life as it is in these images. I paired it up with my new favorites jeans from Joie, I love how the grey color allows the sweater to stand out.  Plus, these jeans are incredibly soft and comfortable, they have molded to my legs!

This necklace is one of my favorite pieces too.  I bought it at a craft fair in Brooklyn, but the artist has an Etsy store! Her stone necklaces tend to sell quickly, but her other pieces are really beautiful. I'm loving these rings.

Did I tell you I stopped by the Rebecca Minkoff sample sale this week?  While I actually got this 5-zip from Bloomingdales a few weeks back, I did pick up a few new bags at the sale!  Stop by tomorrow and help me decide which one to keep!
